The Benefits of Mindfulness 

Mindfulness-Based Therapy can provide children, young people and adults with specific tools and practices for:  

  • Regulating and being with their emotions

  • Increasing concentration, attention, and focus

  • Enhancing memory

  • Inspiring confidence and wellbeing

  • Improving sleep

  • Promoting relaxation and calm

  • Gaining deeper self-awareness and self-acceptance

  • Developing kindness and compassion towards self, others and the world around them.

One-to-One Sessions

Lana offers specialist one-to-one mindfulness-based therapy sessions to children, teenagers, and adults.

 

The practices are individually tailored to your, and/or your child's, unique mental health needs to support you with difficulties related to stress, anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

Drawing on her background and expertise in clinical psychology, Lana offers a combination of practices including:  

  • ​Mindfulness/Meditation

  • Breathing practices

  • Mindful movement and somatic body awareness practices

  • Deep relaxation

  • Neuroscience and psycho-education

  • Psychotherapeutic principles​ (drawing from Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy ACT)

​

Lana will also provide you with audio tracks and materials to support you, and/or your child, to develop a home practice to benefit your mental health into the future.

Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT):
An 8-week course 

Lana offers an adapted version of the Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) 8-week course to young people (14-18yrs) and to parents/carers.
