I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist, EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner, Yoga Therapist & Mindfulness Teacher with over 20 years clinical experience in the mental health field.

I am qualified to work across the lifespan and offer mental health assessment, therapy & support to children, adolescents, young adults & parents/carers.
About Lana
Lana completed her Clinical Psychology Doctorate & graduated from Salomons Centre of Applied Psychology in 2008. She has over 20 years experience working in mental health services within the NHS, Public & private sector. Since qualifying Lana has specialised in working within Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and Paediatric Psychology Services with children, young people & parents facing mental & physical health challenges (including the Evelina Children's Hospital in London & The Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital in Brighton).

Lana is a Mindfulness Teacher with The Sussex Mindfulness Centre (SMC). She has presented at a number of conferences on adapting mindfulness for children & young people. She was invited to speak at the Houses of Parliament on two occasions, contributing to the Mindfulness All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) and the Mindful Nation UK Report. Lana authored the section on Mindfulness for Children and Young People in The British Psychological Society (BPS) publication 'Mindfulness-Based Approaches: A Guide for Psychologists'. Lana is particularly interested in how mindfulness and body-based therapies can support young people and adults suffering from trauma. She is currently co-facilitating a 10-week trauma-informed Mindfulness Course (Mindfulness Across Borders) for Women with refugee or asylum seeker status in Sussex.

As well as a Chartered Clinical Psychologist, Lana is a registered and qualified Yoga Therapist for Mental Health (350hr) with The Minded Institute. This course is registered and accredited by the British Council of Yoga Therapy (BCYT) and Yoga Alliance Professionals. Lana has also completed:

Lana has close links with the Clinical Psychology Doctorate Programme at Salomons Centre for Applied Psychology. She supervises Trainee Clinical Psychologists in both their clinical placements and doctorate research projects. She is currently supervising a research study exploring children's experiences of an outdoor eco-therapy intervention. Lana also lectures at the The Minded Institute on Yoga as therapy for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and has co-authored a chapter on ADHD in the book 'Yoga Therapy for Mental Health: for yoga teachers, therapists & mental health professionals'.

Lana is registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Practicing Psychologist. She is chartered and registered with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and a member of the Division of Clinical Psychology (DCP) and the Paediatric Psychology Network (PPN). Lana is an EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner with EMDR Association UK and a Professional Member of the Association for Contextual Behavioural Science. Lana is registered and insured with the Yoga Alliance Professionals UK (RYT 200). This accreditation demonstrates excellent standards as set by Yoga Alliance Professionals.
